We rank the hooded killers of Ubisoft's series, from worst to best

Ranking the assassins of Assassin's Creed

Game: Assassin's Creed III

14. Ratonhnhaké:ton

Played by: Noah Watts Talk about a charisma-free killer. An extraordinarily boring man who sulks and pouts his way through the worst Assassin's Creed game.

13. Arno Victor Dorian

Game: Assassin's Creed Unity

Played by: Dan Jeannotte

This aristocrat-turned-assassin starts out cocky and likeable, but when he slips on the hood all that personality steadily drains away.

Game: Assassin's Creed

12. Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad

Played by: Philip Shahbaz The original assassin. The beginning of the legend. And, unfortunately, one of the dullest heroes in AC. There isn't much going on under that hood.

11. Aya of Alexandria

Game: Assassin's Creed Origins

Played by: Alix Wilton Regan

With only a fraction of the screen time of her husband Bayek, Aya never fully gets the chance to shine. She is a spirited warrior, though.

Game: Assassin's Creed Rogue

10. Shay Patrick Cormac

Played by: Steven Piovesan The star of Rogue isn't actually an assassin: he's a Templar. Though tough and ruthless, Shay refuses to prey on the weak.

9. Evie Fyre

Game: Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Played by: Victoria Atkin

More straight-laced than her brother Jacob, there are still glimpses of humor and humanity beneath Evie's hard exterior. A capable, smart killer.

8. Aveline de Grandpré

Played by: Amber Goldfarb Born wealthy then thrown into slavery, Aveline is infinitely more interesting than AC III's Connor. Her guilt-ridden past gives her a sharp edge.

7. Jacob Frye

Game: Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Played by: Paul Amos

Jacob is rebellious, witty... and a bit of a prick. He's never happier than when brawling on the London cobbles, which makes him a fun lead.

Game: AC III: Liberation

Game: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

6. Alexios

Played by: Michael Antonakos Odyssey is notable for giving you the option to play as a male or female character. While Alexios is well acted, his sister is far more charismatic.

5. Bayek of Siwa

Game: Assassin's Creed Origins

Played by: Abubakar Salim

This Egyptian warrior is a man who deeply respects tradition. Though plagued by rage following the death of his son, Bayek is innately good.

Game: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag

4. Edward James Kenway

Played by: Matt Ryan A charismatic pirate with an infectious personality. Edward's bawdy sense of humor makes it a pleasure to sail the high seas in his company.

3. Haytham Kenway

Game: Assassin's Creed III

Played by: Adrian Hough

A complex, conflicted character blessed with Bond-like charm and a ruthless streak. Though he's aligned with the Templars, he's not that bad a guy.

Game: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

2. Kassandra

Played by: Melissanthi Mahut A fiery Spartan warrior with a playful side. Kassandra often sounds like she's having a lot more fun than her brother.

1. Ezio Auditore da Firenze

Game: AC II, Brotherhood, Revelations

Played by: Roger Craig Smith

Well, obviously. Witty, mischievous and oh so charming, Ezio is a character who buzzes with life. No wonder he's the most beloved assassin in the series.
