1. Buy for tomorrow

When it comes to PC gaming, you ideally want a monitor with a refresh rate that can go above 60Hz. Whether that's 100Hz or 300Hz, you'll notice the extra fluidity in games.

2. Refresh rate is important

It's all very well and good getting the fastest screen going, but bear in mind that a speedy TN panel falls short of a IPS or VA display when it comes to viewing angles and color accuracy.

Both AMD's FreeSync and Nvidia's G-Sync help to minimize visual artefacts and smooth out frame rates. Which tech you choose largely depends on your budget and GPU brand.
