2021? Old news. Here's a selection of games already set for a 2022 release date.

The big PC games of 2022

We don't know much about this, but it sounds like it'll be similar to the original Ark. Despite its story-driven cinematic trailer, the studio has confirmed it's a "next-gen online multiplayer sandbox"... with added Vin Diesel.

With such a noncommital release date on its crowdfunding campaign, this could slip until 2023. Still, we're crossing everything the beloved PC series returns in 2022. With the makers of Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak at the helm, this is in safe hands.

Homeworld 3

Who's making it: Blackbird Interactive

A sci-fi horror game set 300 years in the future... of the PUBG universe. The PUBG universe! It's a silly concept, but the exciting bit is the game is being made by veteran developers who worked on the Dead Space series.

The Callisto Protocol

Who's making it: Striking Distance

There's a real Death Stranding vibe to Capcom's sci-fi game. The holograms and magic cats have our attention, so here's hoping this gets announced for PC. Currently, it's only slated for PS5, but after the success of Monster Hunter World on PC, a port seems likely.

Pragmata

Who's making it: Capcom

This exciting expansion of the space flight classic has been delayed twice. Yet with the promise of better controls, a more intuitive tutorial system, base-building, co-op, and faster-than-light-travel, the wait should definitely prove worth it.

Kerbal Space Program 2

Who's making it: Intercept Games

Starfield is here as an optimistic wild card. In 2019, Todd Howard said fans would need to be patient. Is waiting three years patient enough? Late 2022 seems like a plausible release date for Bethesda's next big RPG, by which time we'll be two years into a new console cycle.
