The best PC games of E3 2021

Halo Infinite

While there were no real new glimpses of the campaign, multiplayer looks terrific. With battlegrounds that evoke Halo 3 and a focus on Big Team Battle, this could be a great online FPS.

Gloomwood

Sharing a little of Thief's DNA, this wickedly creepy indie boasts a wonderfully physical inventory system and well-scripted guard conversations.

Forza Horizon 5

The latest Forza entry from Playground Games is another rich racing simulation set inside a wonderfully colorful sandbox. Mexico already looks like a great choice of setting.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl

Battlefield 2042

Come for the tornadoes, stay for the utterly madcap 128-player firefights. The frenzied spectacle should make this fun as hell.

Mechajammer

If you enjoy isometric action and retrowave soundtracks, this open-world RPG is going to bang all your gongs. Go check out the demo on Steam.

Elden Ring
