Start adding free planes, skins, scenery, and other mods to Flight Sim

The best Minecraft Flight Simulator mods

To install Microsoft Flight Simulator mods, you need to find the game's "Community" folder. Said folder can be found in the following location...

C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\

Once you find the folder, just drop your mods in and you're good to go, pilot!

Bored with real planes? Add spaceships to the mix! Modder EggMan28 has put together a sci-fi collection that spans X-Wings, TIE Fighters, the Millennium Falcon, and even the Starship Enterprise.

1. Sci-Fi Ships

There aren't a lot of liveries in the standard version of the game, but this massive bundle has all the skins you could ever want. It contains over 300 new liveries for 15 different aircraft.

2. Livery Megapack

The first modded fighter jet for MFS. While it's not a perfectly simulated F/A-18 (the landing gear doesn't work, so start your flight in the air), this will still make a fantastic addition to your hangar.

3. F/A-18

While the King of Monsters doesn't stomp around, Godzilla still makes quite an impression. This world famous irradiated lizard will appear in San Francisco Bay once you install the mod.

4. Godzilla

If you've flown over Stonehenge you probably noticed it's a bit flat—more like a decal stuck to the ground than the anicent monument it's meant to be. This mod fixes that with a proper 3D model.

5. Stonehenge

EggMan 28 didn't just mod in flyable sci-fi ships, he's also made Star Wars scenery. Install this mod, and you can park a Star Destroyer over New York City or Sydney's world-famous harbor.

6. Star Wars Scenery
